About the product
Monoi, ylang-ylang and a UV filter in a leave-in cream for lengths that get more sun than usual in summer.
Urban Care is a hair care brand from Selen Kozmetik in Istanbul and has been around since 2013. The Summer Edition revolves around monoi, a beauty classic from Polynesia made from coconut oil and tiaré flowers. Coconut oil and tiaré flower extract sit high in the formula, joined by ylang-ylang flower oil and a UV filter. It contains no silicones and no parabens.
We like this cream because it is so uncomplicated: after washing, work it into damp lengths, do not rinse, done. It cares, moisturises and makes lengths smoother, shinier and easier to comb, and split ends and frizz become less noticeable. It particularly suits coloured, chemically treated or sun- and heat-stressed hair. The cream does not state a sun protection factor, so it does not replace sun protection.

How to use
Apply a hazelnut-sized amount to wet or damp lengths and ends, spread it with your hands or a wide-tooth comb, and do not rinse it out; then style as usual. It also works as a finish on dry lengths and ends and suits daily use. As a mask, work it through the whole hair before washing and rinse it out afterwards.
