About the product
Hibiscus, shea butter and hyaluronic acid in a micellar shampoo that cleanses the roots thoroughly without weighing curls down.
Urban Care is a Turkish brand from Istanbul, produced by Selen Kozmetik since 2013. This shampoo belongs to the Twisted Curls line and is made for wavy and curly hair. Micellar refers to micelles: tiny surfactant spheres that bind grease and dirt, much like micellar water for the face. The formula contains hibiscus flower extract, shea butter and sodium hyaluronate, plus glycerin and hydrolysed corn, soy and wheat proteins. The list does without SLS, SLES, silicones and parabens, and the formula is vegan.
Curly hair wants two things: a clean scalp and lengths that do not dry out. The dense foam takes dirt, grease and residue away from the roots, while hyaluronic acid and hibiscus bring moisture into the curls without weighing them down. Afterwards, curls look smoother, shinier and more clearly defined, they pick up less static, and frizz stays smaller. That balance is what we like most about this shampoo. It is not meant for every day: once or twice a week is enough.

How to use
Apply enough to the wet roots, massage until foam forms, and spread the foam towards the tips. Rinse thoroughly. For a more intensive result, follow with a conditioner for curls; the brand recommends the one from the Hibiscus & Shea Butter series. Once or twice a week is enough as a weekly care step; on other wash days, use your usual shampoo.
