HOW TO MAKE MAKEUP
If you've never done makeup before, all those different products and gadgets can be intimidating. Don't worry. Below we will show you the makeup step by step. Once you learn the tricks, applying make-up will seem like child's play.
1) PREPARING YOUR FACE
Wipe off your old makeup. When applying make-up, it is necessary to start with a clean palette. If you went to bed at night without removing your make-up, clean your face and wash off the make-up from the morning on your face. If you try to reapply make-up on top of your old make-up (except for touch-ups), you'll get a result that looks like a mold and doesn't look as natural as make-up applied to a clean face. You also need to remove any traces of make-up from your face to prevent clogged pores and irritation of your skin. You can use a good makeup remover or a mild baby oil to get rid of makeup residue.
• Do not forget that you must remove your make-up at the end of each day; Sleeping with makeup can clog your pores and cause blemishes and wrinkles.
Wash your face. You should always wash your face for the same reason you remove old makeup. Use a mild facial cleanser to gently wash your face, massage your face for about a minute to get rid of all the bacteria and dead skin cells in your pores, and wash your face with warm water. Regardless of your skin type, end the cleansing by applying a moisturizer to your face.
Apply base to your face. Before applying makeup, you need to apply a base on your face. The purpose of the face primer is to make the make-up look better and to increase its permanence. Cover your entire face by applying a small amount of makeup base with your fingers. The base also helps your makeup last all day. If you're going to sweat, run, or do anything that will cause your makeup to fade or scatter, base application is essential.
Apply foundation. There are different types of foundation, but they are usually all applied in the same way. Liquid, cream and powder foundations are all meant to give the skin a smoother look and work to create a smooth base for the rest of the makeup. Use a foundation brush or a damp makeup sponge to apply foundation to your face, and apply to your neck and earlobes if needed. Your foundation should match your natural skin tone, neither darker nor lighter. Your foundation should be the same shade as your chest and neck so that your face is not a different color from the rest of your body. You don't want a clear line between your chin and neck. It just doesn't look natural, you end up with a harsh and unmixed result, and that's not what you want. It is always beneficial to choose a color that matches the skin tone.
• If you want to cover stubborn stains, you can use a concealer brush to apply a little extra foundation.
• You can apply liquid foundation with your fingertips, but there is a high chance of bacteria penetrating your skin and may cause acne in the future.
Apply concealer. The purpose of the concealer is to give a smooth appearance to the skin with tonal differences due to blemishes or dark circles under the eyes. You can also use a concealer slightly lighter than your skin tone to brighten dark areas or protruding spots on your face. Using a concealer brush or (clean) fingertips, apply concealer to the under-eye area in a downward-facing triangle, down the bridge of your nose, down to your chin, middle of your forehead, and above your upper lip. You can use a concealer in a tone suitable for your skin tone in areas with redness or for acne or blackheads. Blend the concealer well to ensure a smooth transition between concealer and foundation.
Fix foundation and concealer. This step is optional, but if you want a permanent, streak-free make-up, you should use powder fixing powder to fix your foundation and concealer. Use a damp make-up sponge to pick up the powder and press the sponge to the under-eye area, then remove any excess with a brush. Use a wide, fluffy brush to cover your entire face with a clear or skin-to-tone setting powder. This step is especially helpful if you're using liquid foundation because it helps set the foundation and remove any shine or wetness.
Apply illuminator. After completing the foundation step, your face will likely appear contourless and flat, as it is the same color all over. To add some depth, you need to create an illusion of highlights and shadows. You can use cream (apply before setting foundation) or powder highlighter to highlight the most hollow areas of your face: the inner corners of your eyes, under your eyebrows, the crease of your upper lip, and the top/sides of your cheekbones. This makes her face appear brighter and more vibrant than usual.
• Create a '3' shape on cheekbones, eyebrows and forehead for perfect illumination.
• You can use your fingers or a small highlighter brush to apply the highlighter.
Add depth by contouring. Contrary to highlighting the points of your face you want to highlight, contouring is done with a powder that is a few shades darker than your skin tone (not the same as a bronzer) that you apply to areas you want to appear smaller or stay in the background. You usually need to contour under your cheekbones, on both sides of your nose, and under your chin. In addition, if you apply a contour towards the point where your hair starts, you can make your wide forehead look smaller. This makes her face look slimmer and taller and brings out the shadows that appear naturally when foundation is not on. After contouring your face, you can apply bronzer to add color to your face. Use a large bronzer brush and lightly apply bronzer where you contour.
Apply a light blush. The final step in preparing your face is to apply blush on your cheeks. Everyone has a slight tint to their cheeks, but this color varies from person to person. With the help of a wide brush, apply the blush to your cheeks (the rounded part that becomes evident when you smile). Avoid applying too much blush, just apply enough to redefine the natural color of your cheeks.
Fill your eyebrows. This step is optional depending on the thickness of their eyebrows, but is usually recommended for those with weak or sparse eyebrows. Choose an eyebrow pencil, powder or pomade that is close to your natural hair color. Start by highlighting the contours of the corners of your eyebrows with small touches in the eyebrow look, and then fill in with the same small touches. Go in the direction of your brows and fix them with a clear or tinted brow gel so they stay the same all day.

2) APPLYING EYE MAKEUP

Apply some eyeshadow. This is also an optional product, but applying eyeshadow base will make the eyeshadow stay longer. When you apply eye makeup without a base, you may have noticed that after a few hours, the eyeshadow is erased or oiled and gathered between the lines on the eyelids. Apply the eyeshadow base with your fingertip and feed it from the roots of the eyelashes to the crease of the eyelid. Set with powder to create a perfect base for applying eyeshadow.
Apply eyeshadow. There are many different ways to apply eyeshadow, but the simplest and most classic is to apply one color to the entire eyelid. Use an eyeshadow brush (or your finger for more tinting) to apply eyeshadow to the eyelid, starting at the midpoint near your lash line and working it out. You can prevent the formation of sharp lines by applying the shadow towards your eyelid line and on the inner and outer corners of your eyes, close to your natural skin tone. If you want a more striking look, apply a second darker matte eyeshadow from the outer corner of the lash line upwards, forming a 'C' shape on the outer ⅓ of the eyelid line. Complete the process by mixing a lighter shimmering color with the other eyeshadow, starting from the inner corner and ending in the middle.
• Your main eyeshadow color should never go all the way up to your brow and should not go beyond the eyelid where your brow ends (unless you want a very striking look).
• If you want, you can lighten the brow bone (the area under the eyebrow but above the eyelid line) by applying a lighter shade of eyeshadow. If you have fair skin, you should apply natural colors such as cream, sand or white. Or you can try a natural tone that is slightly lighter than your skin tone. It doesn't have to be a matte color, but the shimmer should be subtle.
• You can apply the shadow under the eyelid and feed the shadow towards the lower lash line, starting from the outer corner. Eat well so that there are no sharp lines.
• If you are using eyeshadow in several colors, you should always mix the eyeshadows well together.

Apply eyeliner. The purpose of applying eyeliner is to create a more dense lash line look, choose a color that will match your lashes, close to your natural hair color (or brown tones if you're blonde). For a sooty look, use eyeliner or use cream or liquid eyeliner for a clearer and smoother look. Define the lines with dashed lines above the lash line and then join the lines for a full, continuous line. You can pull the tip up and slightly outward if you want, or you can just follow the dashed lines from the inner corner to the outer corner.
• You have to be careful when applying eyeliner to your lower lash line because it gives a much darker/bold look and doesn't look as natural as applying eyeliner to just the upper lash line.
• If you are unsure of yourself, you can try applying the eyeliner on the inside of your eyelid.
Complete with mascara. To complete your eye makeup, you need to apply mascara to your eyes. There are different mascaras to choose from depending on the look you want; If you have short lashes, choose a mascara that adds length, or if you have thin lashes, use a volumizing mascara. Dip the brush into the mascara once and wipe the excess off the sides of the bottle or on a paper towel. Apply to upper lashes, looking forwards and upwards. Start from the inside of your eye and work your way out. Apply a double coat to both eyes and then let dry. If you want, you can also apply mascara to your lower lashes.[3]
• Move the brush left and right while applying the mascara, so you fill not only the bottom layer but also between the lashes.
• Never submerge the brush in mascara as this will cause air pockets.
• Avoid applying more than two coats of mascara as this will give an unnaturally moldy look rather than a naturally dark look.
• It's good practice to apply a coat of baby powder between layers of mascara to make your lashes look fuller; it makes your lashes look a little longer and voluminous.

3) COLORING YOUR LIPS

Smooth your lips. Apply lip balm, base or fixer. This will make any lip products you apply last longer and look more vibrant. Besides, who wouldn't want to have softer lips? Applying a good lip balm or ointment will prevent your lips from chapping later in the day.

Apply lip liner. Line your lips with a lip liner that matches your lip color or lipstick. Open the tip of the lip pencil and follow the natural line of your lips. After defining the outline, fill in your lips using the pencil. This helps to even out the color and texture of your lips and makes it easier to apply gloss or lipstick afterwards.

Apply the lipstick or lip gloss with a brush or directly with the tube. Choose a lipstick or gloss to apply over your lip liner; Apply a natural tone for a natural look, or choose a vibrant hue for a bolder look. Start from the middle of your lip and work the color outward. When applying the color to the corners of your lips as much as possible, avoid applying too much and extending beyond the lip line. Put your index finger in your mouth and pull it out quickly to prevent the lipstick from getting on your teeth; Excess lipstick stays on your finger so it doesn't get on your teeth later.

Complete your look. After you finish your lip makeup, your makeup is done! Take a look at your makeup to make sure there are no smudges or smeared eyeshadow that needs to be picked up with a fluffy brush. If there are any mistakes, use a cotton swab dipped in makeup remover to correct them.[4]
• After applying all the make-up you want, you need to fix your face with a fixing spray. Hold the bottle slightly away from your face and apply it to your entire face from a distance of 20-30 cm for 4-5 seconds. Now your makeup will last longer than ever!
Tips
• Do not forget the difference between day make-up, night make-up and special occasion make-up. Daytime makeup is light and in natural tones. Evening makeup is darker, but never too heavy or moldy – use stronger colors. Special occasion makeup requires special products like false eyelashes, liquid liner, and under-eye lightening – you can check out the magazines during awards ceremony season.
• For best results, apply makeup in good, natural light.
• Avoid pulling on the under eye area. This can cause under-eye bags and wrinkles.
• The amount and type of make-up is entirely up to you. You know your own face better than anyone – take the time to experiment. Makeup is literally the art of face painting. Experimenting will allow you to find the makeup that suits you best.
• Wash makeup brushes at least once a month, preferably twice.
• If you want to look more lively, apply a light colored eyeshadow to the inner corner of your eyes.
• To make your eyes look a little larger, you can apply a darker eyeshadow to your eyelid line.
• Don't forget to look in the mirror in a different light before leaving the house!
• To make your eyes look whiter, brighter and more lively, apply Visine before applying make-up. This also keeps your eyes wet throughout the day to prevent makeup-induced dryness.
• If you don't know which concealer or foundation shade to use, try the product on your neck or chest. Your face should be as compatible as possible with the surrounding skin tone. Don't choose to match the tone with your hand or arm because your skin tone is probably slightly different in this area. You can also seek professional help at a cosmetics store to find the color that suits you best.
